November Columbus Photographer’s Lunch

The November Columbus Photographer’s lunch was held at B.Merrell’s this past Wednesday. We all enjoyed each others company and had some great conversations about our businesses and photography in general. We’re all looking forward to next month, and we may even have a holiday party/dinner in the works! Email me at lisette@lisettepricephotography.com if your a photographer and interested in joining our monthly lunch group!

Lydia & Luke: Married

Lydia and Luke were married in Meridian, Mississippi on October 25th. I had an amazing time shooting their wedding and getting to know their families! They are so in love and it was clearly evident. The moment they saw each other during their first look it was like they were the only two people in the world. I love that! Their wedding day consisted of the ceremony, reception, and a laid back after party. Lydia & Luke thank you for being such amazing people and I wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness in your marriage!

I adore this photo of Lydia and her mother.

Lydia and Luke also made an unheard of amount of time for pictures with me. We had about an hour and half between their reception and after party during perfect light to take portraits of them. Hence the reason why there are so many photos in this post - I just couldn’t narrow them down! :) We started with a fun hay bale at the church and then went to the historic Dentzel Carousel which has been in operation since 1909. It was amazing and went super fast! We finished up at Union Station and then headed to the after party!

Dancing at the after party!

I love my job!

I just finished shooting Christy & Dan’s beautiful intimate wedding at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Columbus this evening. I’m so lucky to work with such amazing couples! I won’t have the photos done for a few more weeks, but here’s one of me and Christy after we finished formals.

Happy Veteran’s Day…yesterday!

I’m a day late on this post because I was super busy yesterday. However I have not forgotten to honor our veterans! I had a family session with a military family yesterday and it could not have been a more perfect day with the weather and the holiday.

As a military wife I understand the sacrifices our men and women in uniform make to ensure the freedom of this country. I also understand the sacrifices military families make all too well. My husband deployed to Iraq with 5-20 Stryker Brigade out of Ft. Lewis, WA from June 2006 - September 2007. I am thankful to have a husband who stands up for what is right and who is willing to defend our country and protect our freedom. No, I do not like when he is deployed and yes, I worry like none other, but I understand why he must do what he does. So today and every day I am thankful for my husband and all veterans who serve selflessly for my freedom…and yours! Don’t forget to thank the veterans in your life. :)

A few photos from Tim’s deployment….

I love this photo because you can see who Tim is talking with in his sunglasses. Photo by J.M. Simpson with blog-ah!

This photo was labeled “Three Wise Men” by the photographer. Tim is front right with this interpreter and RTO. Photo by J.M. Simpson with blog-ah!

Lydia & Luke: Married {Sneak Peek}

I’ve been editing through a wedding that I shot a few weeks ago in Meridian, MS and this image caught my eye. I just love it and could not resist posting it up a little early!!! More to come soon… :)
